- Kanagawa Prefecture posted on its Expo site on 2 October 2026 that it will run a GREEN×EXPO 2027 promotional booth at the 48th Zushi Citizens’ Festival.
- The festival is on Sunday 18 October 2026, 10:00 to 15:00, on the 400-metre track of Ikego-no-Mori Natural Park in Zushi.
- About 70 stalls are run by residents and local groups, including food trucks. There are sports to try, a job experience for children and a disaster-preparedness workshop.
- The festival is cancelled in stormy weather, or if earlier heavy rain has left water standing on the ground.
- There is no parking. The city asks people to come by public transport, bicycle or on foot, and says it plans a temporary shuttle bus from JR Zushi Station.
- Smoking, alcohol and pets are not allowed on the grounds.
- Neither the prefecture’s post nor the city’s page says what the Expo booth will do.
Our take
The prefecture’s booth has been to the Vietnam Festa on 12 and 13 September, the Fujisawa citizens’ festival on 27 September and Shibusai in Yamato on 4 October. Zushi comes two weeks after Shibusai. The route so far is Yokohama, Fujisawa, Yamato and now Zushi.
Zushi’s turn comes in the same month as news about the pavilion. On 6 October the prefecture said that Yokosuka City will exhibit jointly in the Kanagawa Pavilion garden, and that farm co-ops from Yokosuka, Hayama and Miura will make a part showing local farming. Zushi is not named in that release. Even so, the prefecture is turning towards the Miura Peninsula side twice in one month, and we think the booth is a chance for people in Zushi and Hayama to hear that nearby cities and co-ops will have their own parts of the garden.
What the booth offers is again unknown. Zushi’s page was last updated on 31 August. It lists tourism promotion and local products among the public-sector stalls, but does not name the Expo. The only source is one line on the prefecture’s site.
Tips for visitors
- Sunday 18 October, 10:00 to 15:00. You cannot drive there, so use the temporary shuttle bus from JR Zushi Station. Its times and stop are not on the city’s page yet.
- Heavy rain on earlier days can cancel the festival even if the day itself is fine. Check the city’s or the Zushi chamber of commerce’s notices before leaving.
- There are no rubbish bins, so bring a bag to take your rubbish home.
- For the pavilion itself, see our Kanagawa Pavilion guide.
Our take
The prefecture's booth follows its stops at the Vietnam Festa, the Fujisawa festival and Shibusai on 4 October. Zushi's own page does not mention the Expo booth, so what it will offer is unknown. There is no parking, and a temporary shuttle bus from JR Zushi Station is planned.
