There is no railway station at the GREEN×EXPO 2027 site. The venue is the former Kamiseya Communication Facility in Seya and Asahi wards, Yokohama. The way in is a shuttle bus from one of four stations: Seya and Mitsukyo on the Sotetsu Main Line, Tokaichiba on the JR Yokohama Line, and Minami-machida Grandberry Park on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line. Which one suits you best depends on where you are coming from.
Every figure comes from the organiser’s announcements and the railway companies’ official pages. Bus frequencies and timetables have not been published, so check the official site after bookings open on 18 September 2026.
If you arrive by Shinkansen, Shin-Yokohama has a direct JR Yokohama Line train to Tokaichiba. Hotels around Shin-Yokohama and Yokohama Station are likely to fill early during the Expo, so book a room the day you secure your entry slot. Distances and ride times are from the organiser’s Visitor Transport Implementation Plan (3rd edition, July 2026). The plan notes that they are estimates and vary with traffic.
2. The site, and why there is no station
The Expo area is about 100 ha, with an 80 ha venue. The organiser says every shuttle bus and car park will be reservation-only, to spread out arrivals and ease congestion on nearby roads. Private cars use pre-booked car parks; using surrounding roads for drop-offs is restricted, and coaches are asked not to load or unload on them either.
Yokohama City’s traffic-management site expects around 105,000 visitors a day. From 7 to 13 September 2026 the organiser, Yokohama City and Kanagawa Prefecture ran a traffic-demand-management trial with companies shifting deliveries and commuting times. 3. The four stations compared
Seya (Sotetsu Main Line): closest to the venue
About 2 km, estimated 10 minutes by bus. Direct from Yokohama Station on the Sotetsu Main Line, but limited express trains skip Seya. Local trains (including the through services from the Tokyu Toyoko, Tokyu Meguro and JR lines), rapid and commuter express trains stop. Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu buses use the station. It has lifts, escalators, a multipurpose toilet and coin lockers.
Mitsukyo (Sotetsu Main Line): the less crowded alternative
About 4 km, estimated 15 minutes. As at Seya, limited expresses skip it; local, rapid and commuter express trains stop. The Sotetsu Life Mitsukyo shopping centre is attached to the station, handy for food and supplies. Sotetsu Bus and Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu serve it.
Tokaichiba (JR Yokohama Line): from the Shinkansen or Machida
About 6 km, estimated 25 minutes. Its big advantage is a direct JR Yokohama Line train from Shin-Yokohama. Yokohama Line rapid trains do not stop here (the JR East station timetable lists local trains only), so take a local train from Shin-Yokohama. The station has lifts, escalators and an accessible toilet.
Minami-machida Grandberry Park (Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line): one express from Shibuya
About 4 km, estimated 20 minutes. Den-en-toshi Line express trains stop here (since the station was renamed in October 2019, they also stop on weekdays), and you can come on a through train from the Hanzomon Line as well. A large shopping mall adjoins the station.

Buying a ticket does not get you on the bus. The order is: reserve your entry date and time, then reserve the bus or a car park on or after that day. Whether same-day bus slots exist has not been announced. For ticket types and the reservation steps, see how to buy tickets.

5. Connections by starting point
From Shin-Yokohama (arriving by Shinkansen)
- Pattern A (simple): Shin-Yokohama → JR Yokohama Line → Tokaichiba → shuttle bus. No transfer.
- Pattern B (via Sotetsu): Shin-Yokohama → Sotetsu Shin-Yokohama Line → change at Nishiya to the Sotetsu Main Line → Seya or Mitsukyo → shuttle bus. Tokyu quotes Shin-Yokohama to Nishiya at 26 minutes at best (weekday inbound). One transfer, but you get the closest station.
Take A with heavy luggage, B if you want Seya’s short bus ride. The Sotetsu–Tokyu Shin-Yokohama station is about a 10-minute walk from the JR Shin-Yokohama station according to Tokyu, so allow for that when choosing B.
From Tokyo, Shinjuku or Shibuya
- From Shibuya: Den-en-toshi Line express to Minami-machida Grandberry Park.
- From Shinjuku: the Sotetsu–JR through service (Shinjuku to Nishiya and on towards Ebina) has local trains that stop at Seya and Mitsukyo. Alternatively take the Shonan-Shinjuku Line to Yokohama and change to Sotetsu.
- From Meguro or Otemachi: through local trains via the Tokyu Meguro Line stop at Seya and Mitsukyo.
From Yokohama Station or Minato Mirai
Sotetsu Main Line from Yokohama to Seya or Mitsukyo. Yokohama is the line’s terminus, so you can usually get a seat, and a local, rapid or commuter express gets you there without changing.

Peak days are defined as weekends and holidays in Golden Week, September and similar periods. The Association’s official brochure, second edition of 15 September 2026, lists the 19 park-and-ride days: 29 April; 2, 3, 23, 29 and 30 May; 6 and 13 June; 14 and 15 August; and 4, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 23, 25 and 26 September 2027. Park-and-ride sites are the Aeon Mall Yamato and Ito-Yokado Yamato-Tsuruma car parks at Yamato (about 500 spaces together) and the Sagami-Ono multi-storey car park (about 200). Both are reservation-only, and the return bus also needs a booking.
7. Where to stay if you come from afar
- Shin-Yokohama: on the Shinkansen. JR Yokohama Line to Tokaichiba, or Sotetsu Shin-Yokohama Line towards Seya.
- Yokohama Station: terminus of the Sotetsu Main Line, many hotels, easy to combine with an evening in the city.
- Yamato or Ebina: next to Seya (Yamato) or five stops on by local train (Ebina, the terminus) on the Sotetsu Main Line, for lower room rates.

8. Stations, fares and booking in brief
