The GREEN×EXPO 2027 venue has no railway station; you take a shuttle bus from one of four stations. If you are travelling with a stroller or wheelchair, or with older relatives, you will be thinking about steps at the station, the walk to the bus stop, and facilities at the venue.
The station facilities below are from each station’s official page, and the fare, parking and ticket rules are from the organiser’s announcements. We have not yet walked the routes from the gates to the bus stops ourselves. Links to the station maps are in the sources; please check them before you travel. When we do visit, we will add what we found, with the date.
1. Four rules to know first

Buses and car parks are reservation-only, with bookings opening on 18 September 2026 alongside timed entry. Using nearby roads for drop-offs is restricted, and coaches are asked not to load or unload there.

Mobility scooters are accepted at every Sotetsu station. Seya’s page notes that the passage near the Ebina-end door of car 10 on platforms 3 and 4 is narrow, and asks passengers to use other doors.
Tokyu offers a pre-booking service for boarding assistance on all lines except the Setagaya and Kodomonokuni lines. It says staff with service-care certification are posted at stations. Sotetsu says it is installing wider ticket gates and ticket machines with recessed bases.
The official pages do not say in words how many gates each station has or exactly where the bus stops are. The two Sotetsu stations and JR Tokaichiba publish station maps; check those before you go.
3. Choosing a station
- From Yokohama Station: Sotetsu Main Line to Mitsukyo or Seya. Limited expresses skip both, so take a local, rapid or commuter express. Trains start from Yokohama, which makes a seat easier to get when you have a stroller.
- From Shin-Yokohama (Shinkansen): JR Yokohama Line to Tokaichiba, no transfer. Good if you have a lot of luggage.
- From Shibuya or the Den-en-toshi Line: Minami-machida Grandberry Park; expresses stop, and the adjoining mall is useful for breaks and supplies.
- To avoid crowds: no station has been announced as quieter. Bus frequency and ride times are unpublished; check the official site once bookings open.
4. The venue’s accessibility policy
In March 2025 the organiser adopted the GREEN×EXPO 2027 Accessibility Guidelines. They cover facilities (built to Japan’s barrier-free standards), services and transport support, and follow the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic and Expo 2025 guidelines. Review meetings that included disabled people and academics ran from September 2024 to March 2025. The guidelines are now being put into practice under the name GREEN×EXPO Accessibility.
Details of stroller and wheelchair rental, nursing rooms and rest areas inside the venue have not been published as of this article.
5. Booking order
- Choose a ticket and check whether the special discount applies.
- From 18 September 2026, reserve your entry date and time (changeable up to three times).
- On or after that day, reserve the shuttle bus or a car park. Accessible parking is in the north car park only.
- If you need a hotel, book it the day your date is set. Staying near a shuttle-bus station or around Yokohama Station means less travel.
Whether the buses are low-floor, and what the waiting areas at the bus stops are like, are still unconfirmed. We will add both here once we know.
