Flying in for GREEN×EXPO 2027 comes down to one pattern from either Tokyo airport: a single train to Yokohama Station, then the Sotetsu Line to the shuttle-bus stations at Seya or Mitsukyo. From Narita that train is the JR Narita Express. From Haneda it is the Keikyu Line. Nothing here requires a change at Tokyo Station. The times and fares below are what JR East and Keikyu publish as of September 2026. The full picture of the last stretch, including the shuttle buses, is in our access guide.
1. From Narita: the Narita Express to Yokohama Station
The Narita Express leaves Narita Airport and Airport Terminal 2 as one train and splits at Tokyo Station. The front half heads to Shinjuku and Shibuya, the other half continues through Shinagawa and Musashi-Kosugi to Yokohama, Totsuka and Ofuna. Board the cars marked for Ofuna. In the September 2026 timetable, train No. 1 leaves Yokohama at 05:44 and reaches Narita Airport at 07:19, so plan on about 1 hour 35 minutes in either direction.
The E259 series trains have reserved seating in every ordinary car plus a Green Car. Each seat has a large table and a power outlet. Luggage racks at the car ends have dial locks, and the on-board displays show flight information in Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean.
Fares
The express fee for the airport section is fixed all year, with no peak or off-peak difference. The base fare is charged on top.

Visitors from abroad have a cheaper option. JR East sells the N’EX TOKYO Round Trip Ticket for ¥5,200 (children 6 to 11: ¥2,600). It covers a round trip between Narita Airport and stations including Yokohama and Ofuna, and the return leg can be used any day within 14 days. JR East’s own comparison puts the regular round trip to Yokohama at ¥8,960, so the ticket saves ¥3,760 on this route. Only holders of a non-Japanese passport can buy and use it, and JR East sells it only to the traveler in person against the original passport, not to family members on their behalf. Buy it online through JR-EAST Train Reservation or at the JR ticket offices at Narita Airport Terminal 1 station and Airport Terminal 2·3 station, and pick it up at either of those two stations. The validity dates cannot be changed once the ticket is issued.
Buying, and what happens when your flight is late
- With an e-ticket from JR East’s Ekinet site you pass the gates with a Suica or other IC card and never collect a paper ticket. Free registration is required.
- An unreserved-seat ticket fixes the date and section but not the train. It costs the same as a reserved seat. You sit in any vacant seat and can have a seat assigned later at no extra cost. If the train is full you stand in the vestibule.
- Rail passes such as the JR EAST PASS are also valid on the Narita Express.
- If your flight is delayed and you miss the train you reserved, JR East allows holders of a reserved-seat ticket to use a vacant ordinary-car seat on a later train the same day.
- Children aged 6 to 11 pay half the base fare and half the reserved-seat fee. Green Car fees are the same for children.
2. From Haneda: Keikyu to Yokohama Station
Keikyu has two stations at Haneda: Haneda Airport Terminal 1 and 2 Station, connected to both of those terminals, and Haneda Airport Terminal 3 Station under the international terminal. Trains toward Shinagawa and trains toward Yokohama each run about every 10 minutes. Keikyu quotes 28 minutes from Terminal 1 and 2 to Yokohama Station and 14 minutes to Shinagawa.
The fare from Terminal 1 and 2 to Yokohama is ¥400 (¥370 from Terminal 3, as of the October 2023 fare table), and there is no express fee. Check which terminal you landed at before you go through the gates, then look for a train marked for Yokohama on the platform. Suica and other IC cards work.
If you have heavy bags, Keikyu Bus runs from all three terminals to Yokohama Station (YCAT), the bus terminal next to the east side of the station. The fare is ¥800 one way or ¥980 for a round trip, with the return half valid for 30 days. You pay on boarding by IC card or cash, and seats are first come, first served. Keikyu Bus shows the average trip time as a live figure that changes with traffic, so leave more time than the train needs.
3. From Yokohama Station to the shuttle-bus stations
At Yokohama Station, change to the Sotetsu Line whichever airport you came from. Limited Express trains on the Sotetsu Line do not stop at Seya or Mitsukyo, where the Expo shuttle buses leave. Take a Commuter Express, a Rapid or a Local; all three stop at both Seya and Mitsukyo. If the display says Limited Express, let it go and wait for the next one. Sotetsu accepts IC cards, so one Suica covers the Narita Express base fare, Keikyu and Sotetsu; the Narita Express seat fee is bought separately or as an e-ticket.
4. Timing on the day you land
Count on 1 hour 35 minutes from Narita to Yokohama Station and 28 minutes from Haneda, then the Sotetsu ride and the shuttle bus. Suitcases and carry-on trolleys are not allowed inside the venue under the Association’s rules, and the Association asks visitors to leave large luggage in a coin locker or similar storage before coming, so add the time for that stop. The Association’s transport plan also lists direct buses from Haneda Airport to the venue, but the stops and routes were still being worked out with the bus operators as of September 2026.
