Our take
Yokohama, Wakayama, Yokkaichi. Yamashita Park is the harbourside park where tourists gather, so that store is permanent and serves locals and visitors alike. Wakayama and Yokkaichi are Kintetsu department stores, short runs aimed at the Kansai and Tokai regions, where many people went to the Osaka Expo. Six months before Yokohama opens, that is the order of priorities.
The Yamashita Park store runs from 1 September to 31 May 2027, through the six months before opening and the first two and a half months of the Expo. Whether it stays to the closing on 26 September is not announced. The venue is on the western edge of Yokohama in Seya-ku and Asahi-ku, far from the harbour. Tips for visitors
- The Yamashita Park store is open 10:00 to 18:00, a walk from Motomachi-Chukagai or Nihon-Odori stations on the Minatomirai Line. Fit it into a sightseeing day.

Our take
The Yamashita Park store stays open until 31 May 2027, so you can buy official goods while sightseeing in Yokohama even on a day you do not go to the venue. It is far from the venue in Seya-ku and Asahi-ku, so treat it as a stop for a different day.
