Our take

One month before its 14 October opening, null²ⁿ revealed the design of its ticket perk, the original triple pin badge linking null², null²ⁿ and null⁴ in black-and-silver metal. An upgrade route now lets holders of a regular ticket add the badge later.

What was announced

  • On 19 September 2026, Sustainable Pavilion 2025 Inc. announced that the permanent museum theatre “null²ⁿ” (Null Null Nexus) will have its grand opening on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, at Yokohama Landmark Plaza, 5th floor, inside Yokohama Landmark Tower. Opening day is now one month away.
  • Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai closed on 13 October 2025. The opening falls exactly one year later, the day after that anniversary.
  • The announcement also revealed, for the first time, the design of the “original triple pin badge,” the perk for holders of the pin-badge ticket. It links the three logos of null², null²ⁿ and null⁴ in a row, said to capture the “reincarnation” of null as it changes form while carrying its thinking and memory forward. It is black-and-silver metal that changes character with the light, and the inside of its special package carries each project’s own story.
  • At the Expo venue, the official metal null² pin badge was popular as a keepsake of the experience, the announcement says. Even though the null²ⁿ pin-badge ticket went on sale with its design kept completely under wraps, it says many people bought it.
  • For people who already hold a regular ticket, an upgrade method has been prepared to add the pin badge later; the steps will be given on the official site.
  • The facility has five areas, including two LED theatres. The “ⁿ” stands for nexus, a point connecting people, experience and place.

Our take

Selling a ticket with a sealed design, then revealing it just before opening, is the sequence that stands out here. Anyone who kept the official null² pin badge from the Expo had to decide whether to buy without seeing what they would get. What’s now public is a row of three logos, null², null²ⁿ and null⁴, in a design that looks built to sit next to that Osaka badge.

Going by the prices we checked on this site, the pin-badge ticket costs 11,900 yen on weekdays and 12,500 yen on weekends and holidays for an adult, and 11,000 yen and 12,000 yen for a child. That is roughly 8,000 yen above the regular ticket, which starts at 3,900 yen, so how much the badge itself is worth becomes the real question. The cap of two per account matters too, for a family buying several.

The new upgrade option gives people who already bought a regular ticket a choice they did not have before. For anyone who wanted to see the design first, this later add-on route looks like the better fit. The exact steps still need checking on the official site.

Tips for visitors

  • Opening day is Wednesday, 14 October 2026, at Yokohama Landmark Plaza, 5th floor. For directions and how to buy tickets, see our null²ⁿ visitor guide.
  • The pin-badge ticket is capped at two per account, so check that limit before trying to buy several.
  • If you already hold a regular ticket, check the official site for how the upgrade works.
  • For how null² split into null²ⁿ and null⁴, see our earlier piece on the project.
