- Served from Tuesday 1 December 2026 to Sunday 28 February 2027. Reservations open on 29 October and close at 21:00 on 27 February.
- 6,500 yen including tax, with a service charge added. Seatings start at 11:30, 12:00, 14:30 or 15:00 and last two hours; last orders for drinks are 30 minutes before the end.
- It is served at Larboard, the restaurant and bar on the second floor of the hotel, inside Yokohama Hammerhead.
- Every item, sweet and savoury, uses strawberries. The savouries add Kanagawa ingredients, such as a quiche with Shonan whitebait and a croissant sandwich with Yamayuri pork from the prefecture.
- The tables are decorated with preserved flowers shading from white through pink to deep red, made for this tea by MUSA JAPAN, a Yokohama floral design brand.
- Seasonal drinks, such as a Christmas royal milk tea in December, are available for an extra 300 yen. A “Strawberry Garden Parfait” costs 3,500 yen plus service charge.
- The hotel cites the opening of GREEN×EXPO 2027 in Yokohama in March 2027, and the interest in flowers it brings, as the reason for the theme.
Our take
This tea is timed for the winter before the Expo, not for the Expo itself. It ends on 28 February, so it will be over by the time visitors come to Yokohama for the 19 March opening. Its link to the Expo is the hotel’s own reason for the theme and the flowers on the table; the release does not describe it as an official Association project.
From the flower side, the thing to look at is the table. The preserved flowers repeat the strawberry colours, from white to pink to deep red, with green added so the table reads as a small garden. The hotel has designed the view from your seat as part of the tea, and we think this is where the flower theme it attributes to the Expo actually shows.
The service charge comes on top of 6,500 yen, and the release does not give the rate, so it is worth asking when you book.
Tips for visitors
- There are four start times: 11:30 and 12:00 for lunch, 14:30 and 15:00 in the afternoon. With two-hour seatings, the 15:00 sitting ends at 17:00.
- If you are planning a stay in Yokohama for the Expo itself, our guide to where to stay compares five base stations, from Yokohama Station to Yamato.
Our take
The hotel links the theme to interest in flowers ahead of GREEN×EXPO 2027, but the tea ends on 28 February, before the 19 March opening. It is a seasonal hotel tea with flowers on the table, not an official Expo event.
