- From Friday 18 September 2026, admission tickets will be sold at 7-Eleven, FamilyMart and Lawson stores.
- Ticket types: one-day (early bird and regular), special discount, and evening. The types on sale change with the season.
- Tickets are issued as paper tickets with a timed-entry reservation, so you can enter without exchanging them or booking separately.
- To change your entry date or time, register the ticket ID on the official ticket site.
- An issuing fee may apply. Exhibit reservations must be made separately.
- Depending on how you travel, you will also need a shuttle bus or parking reservation.
Our take
A convenience store sells you the entry slot, not only the ticket. On the official site you buy first and book a slot second; at 7-Eleven, FamilyMart and Lawson the paper ticket comes out with the slot already on it. Sales start on 18 September, the same day reservations open.
Who gains? Anyone who would rather not use a phone or a card: grandparents travelling with the family, or the person organising a group from work. Buy the whole party’s tickets at the counter and hand them round.
Two catches. Changing your date or time means registering the ticket ID on the official site, so the online step comes back the moment plans move. And fees differ: official-site paper tickets carry a 100 yen surcharge under the 17 July announcement, while for convenience stores the release only says an issuing fee “may apply,” with no amount.
Ticket types change with the season because early-bird one-day tickets are sold only until 18 March 2027. From the 19th the regular one-day ticket takes their place.
Tips for visitors
- If your visit date is fixed, buy at a convenience store and the reservation is done. If it may change, use the official site. Prices and types are in our ticket guide.
- Early-bird pricing applies to purchases up to 18 March 2027 (adults 4,900 yen, then 5,500 yen). The deadline is the same at convenience stores.
- The shuttle bus is a separate reservation. Decide which of the four stations you will use with the access guide before you book.
- Exhibit reservations are made on the day at the venue, one per ticket per day. Buying the ticket reserves nothing else.

Our take
A paper ticket that already carries your entry slot means a family can buy everything at a shop counter. Changing the slot still needs the ticket ID registered online, so if your dates may move, the official site is the easier route.
