A season pass costs 28,000 yen for adults. Divide that by an early-bird one-day ticket (4,900 yen) and you get about 5.7 visits; by the regular price (5,500 yen), about 5.1. We think deciding on that “five visits” figure alone would be a waste.
What the organiser has already fixed

There is also a limited edition of the season pass. The RING PASS, made from timber of the Expo 2025 Grand Ring, comes in a run of 2,027 at 50,000 yen including the pass and postage; the 22,000 yen difference is the wooden ticket, and existing pass holders can enter for that difference. Season and summer passes are personal. After purchase you register a face photo and your name, only you can use the pass, it cannot be transferred or lent, and the photo is checked at the venue (organiser FAQ). A season pass can hold four entry reservations at a time, and the day after a visit you can add the next one. The three-change limit on one-day tickets does not apply to season and summer passes. What the payback calculation misses
Admission uses timed-entry reservations, and you can change your slot up to three times. With a season pass, dropping in on a sunny weekday afternoon becomes realistic. Someone who buys five one-day tickets and someone who visits fifteen times on a pass will see very different things at the expo.

For season-pass holders this is the biggest line in the release. A horticultural expo is an exhibition whose plantings change over 192 days: bulbs in March, roses in May, summer annuals, autumn grasses in September. A ticket that lets you walk the same paths again and again suits this expo.
An easy way to decide
If you live in Yokohama or along the Sotetsu, Den-en-toshi or Yokohama lines and can visit twice a month or more, take the season pass. If your visits will cluster in the summer holidays, the summer pass fits better. For one or two visits from far away, get the early-bird one-day ticket. Nothing else has been published yet to decide by. When the crowd calendar and planting schedule come out, we will update this article.
